The Story

Berry Bonita was the first sticker created for Jane the Rock.

At the time, I was going through another difficult period with body image. Some days, it was hard to look at myself with the kindness and confidence I wanted to have.

Creating Jane became a way to challenge those thoughts.

Instead of waiting until I felt like I had reached some imaginary version of good enough, I wanted to create a character who could look at herself and simply say, “I look fabulous.”

Jane became that little voice of confidence.

She didn't need to change anything about herself before she could feel good. She could be bold, playful, and Berry Bonita exactly as she was.

That became an important part of Jane's story and, in many ways, part of what Faultedlines represents: learning to accept the imperfect parts of ourselves while still giving ourselves permission to feel good, take up space, and celebrate who we are.

You don't have to become someone else to deserve confidence.

Sometimes you just have to remind yourself that you're already pretty damn fabulous.
